Robert Frost was born in San Francisco, USA in the year 1874. In 1982, he left school and started working in a mill. He then became a school teacher. Thereafter he became a reporter and an editor of a weekly. He joined Harvard and studied the classics for two years. Again, he became a reporter and a teacher of English and Psychology.
He used simple colloquial languages of the country folks. His ambition was to write everyday speech of New Englanders to capture their voice with all its rich intonations.
Rober Frost is perhaps the best loved among American poets. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for his poetry four times in 1924, 1931, 1937 and 1943.
